detailed look into air emissions issues relating to the design,
construction, and inspection of aboveground storage tanks. It will
address regulatory compliance, emissions calculations, and recordkeeping
and reporting requirements. This course is structured for those who have
a basic knowledge of air emissions issues and are interested in more
advanced technical information.

This workshop is an
introductory seminar on requirements for welded repairs and alterations
to steel aboveground storage tanks used for oil storage and related
service. The seminar will highlight a quality program and those
activities necessary to ensure compliance to API 653 and API 650.
Topics include design, construction, examination and testing, welded
repairs, alterations/reconstruction, welding/examination requirements,
inspection, documentation and name-plate requirements. This course
is designed for terminal managers, tank maintenance supervisors,
project/procurement managers, contractor quality control personnel, and
field engineers.

Tank Alliance Seminar

The Safe Tank Alliance is a partnership
between industry and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
A live demonstration of safe tank entry and rescue operations will be
provided on Wednesday afternoon. Guy Colonna, Vice President of
Engineering at the National Fire Protection Association will provide an
in-depth seminar on Thursday and Friday that covers safe tank entry
practices in the petroleum industry. Topics include hazard
identification, atmospheric monitoring, confined space classifications,
permit requirements, OSHA regulations and industry standards, and
personal protective equipment. This seminar is open to all tank
safety professionals who are interested in sharing lessons learned,
discussing best practices and networking. There is no fee to
participate, however, space is limited.
